SYNOPSIS:

Hajar, pregnant out of wedlock, is being to have the baby far away from Kuala Lumpur, to avoid the shame and humiliation of people knowing she was pregnant before getting married. Her unborn child had a defect – a cleft lip, which makes Hajar hate the baby. She is sent by Arshad(her husband) to Mak Ju, a midwife who specializes in providing two services – the best care before and after pregnancy and also the most confidential. Hajar’s relationship with her own mother, Rubiah, has been sour ever since Hazim(Hajar’s little brother) died in a horrible accident while under her care. Hajar finds in Mak Ju the mother she never had – caring, sweet, motherly and most importantly, understanding. Soon, her hatred for her unborn child starts to turn into love, from the love she has gotten from Mak Ju. But Hajar doesn’t realize that Mak Ju wants to resurrect her own dead child because her father’s inability to accept a child out of wedlock. Mak Ju is looking for the perfect vessel which she finds in Hajar’s unborn child – a boy with a cleft lip, just like her dead baby. However, the djin has other intentions, it has been plotting and deceiving all those involved in order to map the path of the birth of Hajar’s baby – the true Devil’s heir.
